This medication targets bacteria that cause most skin infections, including methicillin-resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus, other staphylococci, and streptococci. It is also effective against gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Haemophilus influenzae. It is primarily used for various bacterial skin infections, including impetigo, folliculitis, boils, and infectious eczema. Additionally, it is used to treat bacterial skin infections occurring on wound or burn areas. This medication helps improve skin conditions caused by various bacterial infections.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply a small amount to the infected area 2 to 3 times a day for 10 days. If necessary, the applied area may be dressed or sealed.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by certain patients. People allergic to this drug or its ingredients, especially polyethylene glycol, or those who have experienced hypersensitivity reactions should not use this medication. Patients with kidney disease should use this medication with caution, as the polyethylene glycol component may be absorbed through damaged skin and place a burden on the kidneys. It is safer for pregnant or potentially pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers to avoid using this medication, as there is insufficient data on its safety.
