How to take

Adult dose

For patients with chronic heart failure, elderly patients over 70 years of age who have no history of acute heart failure are administered this medication. Start with Nebivolol at 1.25 mg once a day, gradually increasing to the optimal dose for each patient at intervals of 1 to 2 weeks. If necessary, the dose can be increased to 2.5 mg, 5 mg, or 10 mg once a day, with a maximum daily dose of 10 mg. It can be taken with food.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, it can be dangerous for individuals who are allergic to this drug or have a history of bronchospasm or asthma. Additionally, patients with bradycardia, heart conduction problems, acute heart failure, or cardiogenic shock should not take this medication. Patients with severe liver or kidney dysfunction, as well as pregnant or nursing women, should also avoid this medication. This medication contains lactose, and patients with lactose intolerance should not take it. Caution is required when this medication is taken by patients with chronic lung disease, uncontrolled heart failure, peripheral circulation disorders, hyperthyroidism, or diabetes. As it is a beta-blocker, it may be necessary to consult with a physician about discontinuing its use before surgery. If the heart rate slows significantly or blood pressure drops too low, the dosage may need to be adjusted.
