This medication is used for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia. It improves the symptoms of anemia caused by iron deficiency and helps normalize iron levels in the blood, facilitating healthy blood production.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults aged 8 years and older: 1 tablet once daily

Child dose

Children aged 8 years and older: 1 tablet once daily

Precautions

This medicine can cause severe poisoning if more than the recommended amount is ingested by children. Therefore, it must be stored out of the reach of children under 6 years old in a safe place. Individuals allergic to this medication or any of its ingredients should not take it. Infants under 12 months of age should not take this medication. Those with disorders affecting iron metabolism that cause accumulation of iron in the liver or pancreas, or individuals with certain types of anemia should also refrain from taking this medication. While taking this medication, it should not be combined with phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids. Infants under 1 year, patients currently receiving medical treatment, those with gastrointestinal disorders or issues relating to heart and circulatory function, decreased kidney function, or individuals with low protein levels should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as hives, itching, sensitivity to light, abdominal pain, cramps, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, or loss of consciousness occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Overdose may result in symptoms like nausea, vomiting, hypernatremia, heart failure, or edema, so caution is advised. Particularly, if taken with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene, increased potassium levels in the blood may occur. If symptoms do not improve even after a month of use, consult a professional. Adhere strictly to the recommended dosage and schedule, and ensure that children take it under adult supervision. It is advisable to avoid drinking tannin-containing teas like green tea or black tea before and after taking this medication. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, in a cool, dry place, avoiding direct sunlight, and kept tightly sealed. Also, do not transfer the medication to another container and ensure it is not misused or that its quality is not compromised.
