Prevention and treatment of folic acid deficiency and anemia (nutritional deficiency, pregnancy-related)
This medicine is used to prevent and treat folic acid deficiency. It also supports health in cases where folic acid intake is insufficient, such as for patients with wasting diseases or for women during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It is also used as an adjunct treatment for anemia caused by vitamin B12 deficiency, provided it is not pernicious anemia. It is helpful in treating anemia conditions such as nutritional deficiency anemia, pregnancy-related anemia, and pediatric anemia, as well as anemia caused by the use of anticonvulsants. It is effective for megaloblastic anemia associated with alcohol abuse or liver diseases. Overall, this medication improves various types of anemia and issues related to folic acid deficiency.
1. Treatment of folic acid deficiency and deficiency due to other medications Adults: Take 0.25 - 1 mg of folic acid daily. 2. Prevention of folic acid deficiency and increase in folic acid requirements in various conditions Adults: Take 0.1 - 0.25 mg of this medication daily.

This medicine should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to this medication or its ingredients. In addition, patients with pernicious anemia caused by vitamin B12 deficiency or megaloblastic anemia should also refrain from taking this medication. This medicine contains lactose and should not be administered to individuals with a genetic disorder that prevents lactose digestion. Consultation with a physician, dentist, or pharmacist is required before taking this medicine. For example, patients currently receiving treatment from a physician or with pernicious anemia must consult with an expert. Especially, patients with pernicious anemia may need to use vitamin B12 preparations in conjunction with this medicine as it may not effectively address neurological symptoms on its own. Caution is also necessary if taking specific medications. Patients taking aminosalicylates, oral contraceptives, or methotrexate may experience interactions with this medication, so they should consult with an expert. In cases where phenytoin or other anticonvulsants are taken, the medication may lower the plasma concentration of phenytoin, increasing seizure frequency. Patients on sulfasalazine or cholestyramine should also be cautious as absorption of this medication may be hindered. If allergic symptoms such as skin rash, itching, or difficulty breathing occur during use, discontinue and consult an expert immediately. Symptoms such as loss of appetite, nausea, edema, weight loss, sleep disturbances, difficulty concentrating, hyperactivity, depression, or other central nervous system abnormalities may also manifest, and if such symptoms occur, discontinue use and seek consultation immediately. This medicine must be taken strictly according to the prescribed method and dosage, and when administered to children, supervision by a guardian is necessary. If symptoms do not improve or worsen after about a month of use, consult a physician or pharmacist without delay. When storing, keep this medication out of reach of children and store it in a sealed container, avoiding direct sunlight and placing it in a cool, dry location. Additionally, to preserve the quality of the medication, do not transfer it to another container, and prevent misuse.

This medicine may be sensitive to air or moisture, so it must be stored in a tightly sealed container. It is important to maintain the storage temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius. This will ensure the medication's effectiveness is safely maintained.
