This medication is used for patients who require the simultaneous administration of Amlodipine and Atorvastatin. Amlodipine helps treat hypertension, stable and variant angina due to myocardial ischemia, and reduces the risk of hospitalization for coronary vascular procedures and angina. Atorvastatin plays a role in reducing the risk of various cardiovascular diseases, protects health by lowering the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and angina, and treats primary hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, thereby improving blood lipid levels, including in cases that do not respond to dietary measures. This combination therapy helps maintain cardiovascular health and prevent disease progression.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, patients who are allergic to this medication or similar components, those with severe liver dysfunction, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and those with serious muscle disorders should not take this medication. Also, patients with very poor kidney function, the elderly, alcoholics, or those with a history of liver diseases should be more cautious when using this medication. Especially for those at risk of muscle-related disorders, blood tests to check for muscle damage before treatment are essential. While this medication is generally well tolerated, rare side effects such as low blood pressure, dizziness, headaches, myalgia, indigestion, and rashes may occur. If symptoms such as muscle pain or weakness, rash, or jaundice appear, medical personnel should be informed immediately. Women who may become pregnant must use proper contraception during the administration of this medication and must stop taking it immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Breastfeeding women are also advised to avoid this medication. Caution should be exercised regarding drug interactions when taking this medication, especially with certain antibiotics, antifungals, immunosuppressants, and other lipid-lowering agents, as this may increase the risk of side effects. In the case of overdose, serious hypotension, shock, and heart problems may occur, requiring immediate emergency treatment. Finally, safety for children and the elderly has not been sufficiently verified, so care must be taken when using this medication. Regular monitoring of liver function and muscle condition during treatment is important, and any abnormal signs should prompt immediate consultation with medical staff.
