This medicine is used to treat acute and chronic enteritis, acute and chronic diarrhea, acute dysentery, and symptoms of abnormal fermentation in the intestines caused by various factors.

How to take

Adult dose

For adults: 2g per dose, 3 times a day (4g on the first dose)

Child dose

For young children: 1g per dose, 3 times a day

Precautions

This medication can be used with antibiotics, but it is advisable not to take it with certain antibiotics such as ciprofloxacin, imipenem, and cilastatin sodium. This medicine contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which is broken down into phenylalanine in the body. Therefore, patients with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria should not take this medication. The daily intake of aspartame should be limited to less than 40mg/kg as recommended by WHO, and for example, for a 60kg adult, a maximum of 2.4g per day is safe. This medication should be administered cautiously to patients receiving medical treatment. The prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly followed, and if symptoms do not improve after taking the medication for about one month, it should be discontinued and a pharmacist or physician should be consulted. Before administering this medication to infants under 3 months old, it is crucial to consult with a pharmacist or physician. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Additionally, it is important not to transfer the medication to other containers to prevent misuse and maintain quality.
