This medication is used to temporarily relieve pain, itching, swelling, and bleeding associated with anal fissures and hemorrhoids.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Adults and Adolescents (15 years and older) insert 1 unit into the rectum up to 3 times a day.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals with heart disease, hypertension, thyroid disease, diabetes, or those with difficulty urinating due to benign prostatic hyperplasia. While using this medication, it should not be taken in combination with certain medications, including suppositories or ointments containing dl-methyl ephedrine hydrochloride, scopolamine extract, glycyrrhizic acid, and creams. It is also important not to take this medication with blood pressure-lowering medications or antidepressants. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as those currently receiving medical treatment, must consult a healthcare professional before using this medication. If redness, swelling, or irritation occurs while using the medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. If an allergic reaction occurs, stop use immediately and seek professional assistance. If symptoms do not improve after about 7 days of use, it is advisable to stop using it and consult a healthcare professional. Discontinue use and consult a professional if there is bleeding as well.
