This medication is used for the treatment and prevention of gastroesophageal reflux disease and erosive esophagitis. It is effective in treating and preventing recurrence of peptic ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection. Additionally, it helps alleviate upper gastrointestinal symptoms associated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and treat and prevent gastric and duodenal ulcers. It is also used to treat Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and is suitable for the prevention of rebleeding in gastric or duodenal ulcers. Overall, it is used effectively for the treatment and prevention of gastrointestinal diseases.
