This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty controlling blood pressure with amlodipine or telmisartan monotherapy. This drug effectively reduces blood pressure, lowering the risk of cardiovascular complications while assisting in stable blood pressure management. Therefore, it helps in blood pressure control for patients with essential hypertension.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advisable to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). For renal impairment, start treatment in severe cases at a lower dose and gradually increase it. In cases of liver impairment, the daily dose of telmisartan should not exceed 40 mg. Precautions

This drug can cause serious damage to the fetus, especially during the second and third trimesters, so it should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. Due to the risk of hypotension, patients who are dehydrated or have low salt levels should correct their condition before taking this medication, and immediate action should be taken if hypotensive symptoms occur. This medication may increase blood potassium levels, so potassium levels should be monitored regularly, and care should be taken when using potassium supplements or medications containing potassium. Patients with weak kidney function should undergo regular blood tests to check kidney function and electrolyte status while taking this medication. Patients with heart disease should be cautious as this drug may increase the risk of angina or myocardial infarction after taking it. This medication can cause drowsiness or dizziness, so caution is needed when driving or operating dangerous machinery.
