This medication is effective for gastrointestinal diseases such as gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastritis, and helps alleviate symptoms such as heartburn, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and belching due to excessive stomach acid. It neutralizes stomach acid and protects the gastric mucosa through its antacid effect, thereby improving symptoms. Therefore, it is used to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.

How to take

Adult dose

As Almagate, take 1g three times daily, chewed and taken orally 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals. If necessary, a fourth dose may be taken before bedtime.

Child dose

Children aged 12 and older should take the same dose as adults.

Precautions

This medicine should not be taken by anyone who is allergic to this medication or any of its components. Additionally, it should not be taken by patients with Alzheimer's disease, hemorrhoids, those who are swollen with fluid retention, patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension, those suffering from diarrhea, or individuals with unexplained gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication contains lactose, and individuals with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic disorders should not take it. While taking this medication, it is important not to take tetracycline antibiotics concurrently, as this medication may interfere with the absorption of antibiotics. If you are taking other medications, consult your doctor or pharmacist as this medication may affect drug absorption or excretion. Elderly patients or those with symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, and nursing mothers should consult a specialist before taking it. If constipation or diarrhea occurs, or if symptoms do not improve within two weeks, promptly stop taking the medication and consult a specialist.
