Precautions

This medication should be used with caution in women during the first three months of pregnancy or those who may become pregnant, as administering more than 5,000 IU of vitamin A may increase the risk of congenital defects. This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown origin), kidney disease, kidney stones, or those who have allergies or hypersensitivity to soybean oil, soy, or peanuts. Infants under 3 months old should not take this medication, and those with a history of allergies to its ingredients should also avoid it. Patients receiving treatment or those with fat metabolism disorders such as oxalosis, gout, hyperlipidemia, or pancreatitis should consult with a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Pregnant or breastfeeding women, premature infants, and young children should also consult a doctor before taking this medication, especially since excessive intake of vitamin A carries a risk of fetal deformities. This medication contains colorants Yellow No. 4 and Yellow No. 5, so individuals with allergies or hypersensitivity to these components should be cautious when taking it. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, skin itching, dry or rough skin, joint swelling, diarrhea, or other adverse reactions occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare provider. Prolonged high-dose use may lead to tolerance or exacerbate peptic ulcers, disrupt blood sugar control, cause hyperuricemia, or liver damage, so caution is advised. Especially, women after menopause should be careful not to exceed the recommended dosage of vitamin A due to the increased risk of osteoporosis. This medication should be taken according to the prescribed dosage and frequency, and vitamin A should be sufficiently supplied through normal meals, thus the intake as a supplement should not exceed 5,000 IU per day. This medication may influence blood glucose test results and change urine color to yellow, so this should be noted during clinical tests. Patients with fat metabolism disorders or those at risk of fat overload should regularly monitor plasma lipids and adjust the dosage of this medication if necessary. Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight in a tightly closed container. For quality maintenance, do not transfer to other containers, and prevent misuse.
