This medication is used to treat essential hypertension and heart failure. It is especially recommended as an additional treatment option for heart failure patients with impaired left ventricular systolic function who require ACE inhibitor therapy or have poor tolerance. It helps control blood pressure and improve heart function.

How to take

Adult dose

Essential hypertension in adults: The recommended initial and maintenance dose of Candesartan Cilexetil is 8-16 mg orally once a day. After taking 16 mg for 4 weeks if blood pressure is not adequately controlled, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 32 mg once daily. Peak effect will be observed within 4 weeks of starting treatment. Heart failure in adults: The recommended initial dose is 4 mg once daily. Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Hives, severe swelling (edema), cold sweat, pallor, severe rash, blisters, peeling skin, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory distress accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, lightning headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, significantly reduced urine output, and severe swelling of the body.

Dizziness, back pain, respiratory infection (upper respiratory infection, pharyngitis, rhinitis), fatigue, peripheral edema, chest pain, headache, bronchitis, cough, sinusitis, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, joint pain, proteinuria, weakness, fever, numbness, indigestion, gastroenteritis, tachycardia, palpitations, increased creatine kinase (CK), hyperglycemia, hypertriglyceridemia, hyperuricemia, muscle pain, nosebleeds, anxiety, depression, drowsiness, dyspnea, rash,
