Improvement of blood sugar and cholesterol with the combination of gemigliptin and rosuvastatin
This medication is used as a combination replacement therapy for patients who need to take both gemigliptin tartrate and rosuvastatin calcium simultaneously. In other words, if these two medications need to be administered together, treatment can be carried out using this medication.
This medication is administered only to adults, with a dose of 1 time per day.
This medication should not be administered to certain patients. For instance, it should not be used in individuals who are allergic to this medication or its components, those with certain types of diabetes, liver diseases, muscular disorders, severe kidney dysfunction, or women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Additionally, caution should be exercised when administering this medication to patients taking sulfonylureas, patients with heart failure, liver dysfunction, or a history of acute pancreatitis. If symptoms of muscle pain or myopathy occur, consultation with a physician should be sought immediately. This medication contains lactose, and therefore patients with lactose intolerance should not take it. Caution is also needed for elderly patients or those with certain genetic predispositions. While taking this medication, liver function and muscle condition should be regularly monitored; if any abnormal symptoms are detected, treatment must be stopped immediately and instructions from a physician should be followed. This medication may interact with other drugs, so if other medications are being taken, it is essential to inform healthcare providers, particularly if strong metabolic enzyme inducers or inhibitors, or fibrate drugs are combined. Women of childbearing potential should use appropriate contraceptive methods, and this medication should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Moreover, in case of overdose, since there are no specific antidotes, immediate medical assistance should be sought, and as this medication can cause dizziness, caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery. Finally, this medication has not been confirmed to be safe and effective for children and adolescents under 18 years of age, and should not be administered to them.

This medication is sensitive to light and should be stored in a special container that does not allow light to pass through. Additionally, it is important to store it at a temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius to maintain the efficacy of the medication.
