Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who have had an allergic reaction to any of its components. Additionally, as it contains lactose, people with genetic conditions like galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medication. Patients with compromised liver function may need to be cautious as this medication can increase blood levels in such cases. Its safety has not been established in patients with severe heart disease or cerebrovascular disorders, hence it should be used carefully in these populations. Elderly individuals may experience slower clearance of the medication from their bodies due to reduced liver function, and thus, careful monitoring is advised during administration. If taken alongside antihypertensive agents or diuretics, there is a risk of dangerously low blood pressure, which requires caution. Dizziness, lightheadedness, or hypotension may occur while taking this medication, thus it is important to rise slowly when standing, and to be cautious when driving or engaging in hazardous activities. In case of severe side effects such as liver dysfunction, jaundice, or loss of consciousness, discontinue medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Store this medication out of the reach of children, and ensure it is taken as directed from the packaging. Swallowing the packaging whole may cause damage to the esophagus. This medication can lower blood pressure; hence, avoid overdose, and consider alternative treatment methods if it does not provide the desired effect. Lastly, when taken together with certain erectile dysfunction treatments (PDE5 inhibitors), there is a risk of more severe blood pressure drops, so it is essential to consult with a healthcare provider.
