This medication helps control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension and is also used in heart failure patients, especially those with reduced left ventricular systolic function. In cases of heart failure, it is prescribed as an alternative treatment either alongside ACE inhibitors or in patients for whom ACE inhibitors are not suitable. Therefore, it is effectively used for managing hypertension and heart failure.
