Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients who are allergic to this medicine or its components, pregnant or nursing women, patients with severe liver impairment, and those with hereditary angioedema should not take this medication. Elderly patients, those with hyperkalemia, patients with liver impairment, heart valve disease, and those with poor kidney function should take this medication with caution, and it is important to monitor potassium and kidney function through regular blood tests. During treatment, side effects such as dizziness, back pain, and respiratory infections may occur, and rarely, serious allergic reactions, renal function deterioration, or blood abnormalities may arise, so consult a doctor immediately if any abnormal symptoms occur. Blood pressure may drop sharply; therefore, patients undergoing dialysis or taking diuretics or antihypertensive medication should start with a small amount and gradually increase the dose at the beginning of treatment. When taken in combination with other antihypertensive medications, this can enhance the blood pressure-lowering effect, so it should be taken as directed by a physician, and when used with specific diuretics, lithium, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, kidney function and potassium levels must be monitored carefully. Women planning to become pregnant or who might be pregnant should not take this medication, and it is also advisable to avoid using it while nursing. Safety and efficacy for children and adolescents under 18 years of age have not been established, so it is recommended not to administer it to them. Caution is needed while driving or operating machinery, as dizziness may occur. In case of overdose, symptoms such as symptomatic hypotension, dizziness, and rapid heartbeat may occur, and immediate medical attention is necessary.
