This medication is used to effectively control the blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with amlodipine or valsartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage for adults is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). Precautions

This drug may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn, especially during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients who are allergic to the active ingredient or similar substances, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and patients with severe kidney or liver impairment should avoid taking this medication. Patients with low sodium or fluid levels in their body may experience hypotension, so their condition should be carefully assessed before use and blood pressure and symptoms should be closely monitored during treatment. Patients with high potassium levels should be cautious when using potassium supplements or medications that increase potassium levels in conjunction with this drug, and regular checks of serum potassium levels should be conducted. Patients with kidney problems or those who have undergone kidney transplants should closely monitor their kidney function while taking this medication, and should discontinue use immediately if vascular edema symptoms occur. Patients with heart failure or myocardial infarction should closely observe changes in kidney function while taking this medication, and it should be administered with caution in patients with severe heart failure. This drug may cause dizziness or fatigue, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. In cases of overdose, serious symptoms such as hypotension or cardiac arrhythmias may occur, and immediate medical attention should be sought. Additionally, this drug may interact with other antihypertensive agents, potassium-sparing diuretics, and some anti-inflammatory drugs, so it is crucial to consult with healthcare providers regarding any concurrent medications. For the elderly, it can be used at doses similar to those for general adults, but dose adjustment may be necessary considering the status of kidney or liver function. Finally, this medication is not recommended for children under 18 years of age as safety and efficacy have not been fully established.
