This drug is used for patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty controlling blood pressure with monotherapy or for those who require combination therapy to achieve hypertension treatment goals. Additionally, Rosuvastatin helps in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia that are not controllable through diet and exercise. This drug is also used as an adjunct to dietary therapy for patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, lowering total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol to delay the progression of atherosclerosis. For men over 50 with elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein and additional risk factors for cardiovascular disease, as well as women over 60, a reduction in the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and revascularization procedures can also be expected. Therefore, this drug is used to effectively manage blood pressure and blood cholesterol to prevent and treat cardiovascular complications.
