This medication is used for patients who need to take amlodipine/losartan combination therapy and rosuvastatin simultaneously. The amlodipine/losartan combination is effective when blood pressure control is not achieved adequately with monotherapy, and it is used as initial treatment for stage 2 hypertension patients. Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunctive treatment for patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia when diet is ineffective, delaying the progression of atherosclerosis and helping reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It particularly plays a role in reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and vascular revascularization procedures. This medication effectively manages hypertension and hyperlipidemia to improve cardiovascular health.

Precautions

This medication can have serious effects on the fetus and newborn, especially during pregnancy, and should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Hypotension may occur in patients with reduced effective circulating blood volume, so their condition should be stabilized before administration, and specific dosage adjustments may be necessary. Patients with allergic reactions to any component of this medication or with certain diseases should not take it. Patients with severe liver or kidney impairment and those with certain muscle disorders should not use this medication. Elderly patients and those with hypotension, hyperkalemia, or mild to moderate liver impairment should use this medication cautiously, and patients with cardiac and vascular diseases also require careful monitoring. This medication can cause myalgia or myopathy and, rarely, severe muscle damage, so if muscle pain worsens or persists, medical attention should be sought immediately. During treatment, it is essential to check liver function and blood tests regularly to monitor for any abnormalities. When taken with other medications, interactions may enhance effects or increase the risk of side effects, so it is crucial to inform healthcare professionals about any currently taken medications. Breastfeeding women should also exercise caution, and women of childbearing age should use appropriate contraceptive methods. If any unusual symptoms such as dizziness, hypotensive symptoms, muscle pain, or breathing difficulties occur, consult a physician immediately.
