Vitamin D is particularly important during pregnancy, breastfeeding, growth periods, and old age. During these times, it supports the healthy development of bones and teeth, effectively preventing rickets. Additionally, when there is a calcium deficiency or other needs for calcium supplementation, it helps maintain health by providing these nutrients. Thus, vitamin D and calcium play crucial roles in maintaining bone health and improving overall skeletal health.
