How to take

Adult dose

As Sildenafil, recommended dose of 25 to 50 mg taken orally about 1 hour before sexual activity, once daily. Can be taken from 4 hours to 30 minutes before sexual activity in some cases. The dose may be adjusted based on efficacy and tolerability.

Precautions

This medication acts to dilate blood vessels and may lower blood pressure, so it can be dangerous when taken with nitrates or nitric oxide donors. Patients with cardiovascular diseases must ensure their heart condition is suitable before using this drug, and it is advisable to avoid it if there is a risk of strain on the heart. Sexual activity itself can put a strain on the heart, so patients with severe cardiovascular disease should not use this medication. Patients with very low or very high blood pressure, severe arrhythmia, or heart failure should also avoid this drug. Rarely, an erection lasting more than 4 hours may occur with this medication; in such cases, immediate medical attention is required. Especially for elderly patients or those with impaired liver or kidney function, it is safer to start with a reduced dose. This medication can interact with certain drugs, so if taking drugs like ritonavir, consult a doctor. There may be dizziness or visual disturbances when driving or operating machinery, so caution is needed. This medication cannot be taken by pregnant women, children under 18, or females. Overdose may lead to exacerbation of symptoms such as headache, dizziness, and visual disturbances, so recommended dosages must be adhered to. This drug should not be used for purposes other than treating erectile dysfunction and does not provide protection against sexually transmitted diseases. If sudden vision loss or hearing decrease occurs while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Before taking this drug, inform your doctor of your medical history and any current medications to ensure safe usage.
