Combination therapy for symptomatic treatment of stable angina in adults with an inadequate response to or intolerance of first-line treatment
This medication is used in combination with other drugs to alleviate symptoms in patients with stable angina pectoris who do not adequately respond to first-line anti-angina agents or have intolerance.
Adults: Take 20mg 3 times daily, once each with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Patients with moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance 30-60 ml/min) should take 20mg twice daily, once with breakfast and once with dinner
This medication is not intended to treat angina attacks directly and should not be used as a first-line treatment for cardiac conditions such as unstable angina or myocardial infarction. If an angina attack occurs, it is essential to reassess the condition at a hospital and find appropriate treatment. This medication should not be used in specific patients. For example, individuals who are allergic to this drug or its components, those with Parkinson's disease or related movement disorders, and those with severe renal impairment should not take this medication. Additionally, patients with moderate renal impairment, elderly individuals over 75 years of age, and those allergic to the yellow dye included in this medication should exercise caution when using it. Side effects such as dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea, rash, itching, and fatigue may occur while taking this medication. More rarely, Parkinsonian symptoms, arrhythmias, hypotension, and severe skin reactions may occur, so if symptoms appear, consult a doctor immediately. Elderly patients should regularly undergo neurological examinations as Parkinsonian symptoms or movement disorders may worsen, and if abnormal symptoms appear, the medication should be discontinued, and specialized medical attention should be sought. This medication can cause severe skin adverse reactions; therefore, if symptoms such as red spots, rashes, or itching appear, usage should be stopped immediately and a doctor should be notified. Pregnant women are advised to avoid this medication as its safety has not been sufficiently established, and nursing mothers should also refrain from using it for safety. This medication is not recommended for children under 18 years of age as its safety and efficacy have not been established. Elderly patients may have reduced renal function, leading to increased concentrations of this medication in the body, so careful dose adjustment and monitoring are necessary. In case of overdose, there are no specific antidotes; therefore, symptomatic treatment should be provided. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and should not be taken past its expiration date.
