Supplementation of Vitamin D is particularly important during pregnancy, breastfeeding, childhood, and old age. The Vitamin D contained in this medicine helps in the healthy development of bones and teeth and plays a role in preventing rickets. It also helps to maintain bone strength by supplementing calcium deficiency. Therefore, this medicine is effectively used for the prevention of bone diseases and calcium supplementation.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: take 1 tablet once daily.

Child dose

Children aged 8 years and older: take 1 tablet once daily.

Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients with hypercalcemia (abnormally high calcium levels in the blood), sarcoidosis, or renal diseases. It should also not be taken by patients with allergy to any of the ingredients in this medicine, infants under 12 months, patients with kidney stones, or patients with severe renal failure. Since this medicine contains lactose, patients with lactose intolerance or genetic lactose-digesting enzyme deficiency should not take it. During treatment with this medicine, it is recommended not to take medications such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids simultaneously. Before taking this medicine, children under 1 year of age, patients undergoing treatment by a physician, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with heart or kidney problems, patients with hypoproteinemia, patients taking cardiac glycosides, and patients with a history of kidney stones should consult with a doctor or pharmacist. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, low blood pressure, facial flushing, arrhythmias, or skin rashes occur while taking this medicine, stop taking it immediately and consult a specialist. Additionally, care should be taken as excessive or long-term use of this medicine may result in hypercalcemia or stones. Caution is needed if taken with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene, as this may increase blood potassium levels. Dosage and administration directions should be strictly followed, and it should be administered to children under the supervision of a guardian. It is advisable to avoid teas containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before and after taking this medicine. This medicine should be stored out of the reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place in a sealed container. To prevent misuse of the medicine and maintain its quality, it is important not to transfer it to another container.
