Improvement of symptoms and walking ability in lumbar spinal stenosis, and ischemic symptoms in Buerger’s disease
This medication helps improve ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and cold sensations caused by occlusive thromboangiitis (Buerger's disease). It is also effective in relieving leg pain and numbness in patients with acquired lumbar spinal stenosis and improving walking ability. In other words, it is used to enhance blood circulation and alleviate symptoms, thereby improving the quality of life for patients.
For improvement of ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and coldness caused by thromboangiitis obliterans (Buerger's disease), the usual adult dose is 2 tablets orally 3 times daily. For improvement of subjective symptoms (lower limb pain and numbness) and walking ability associated with acquired lumbar spinal stenosis (patients with normal SLR test results and bilateral intermittent claudication), the usual adult dose is 1 tablet orally 3 times daily. The dose may be adjusted appropriately according to age and symptoms.
This medication should not be used by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. Due to the presence of lactose, individuals with genetic issues such as lactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medication. Patients with a tendency for bleeding or those taking antiplatelet agents, thrombolytics, or anticoagulants must exercise caution when using this medication. During usage, hypersensitivity reactions such as rash or itching may occur, and if these symptoms appear, stop taking the medication immediately. Bleeding may occur rarely, so if abnormal symptoms arise, discontinue use and observe the situation. Gastrointestinal side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and heartburn may occur. Liver function abnormalities may arise, so it is advisable to regularly monitor liver status. Symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, cold extremities, and low blood pressure may occur; hence, caution is necessary. Rarely, headaches, facial flushing, dizziness, tremors, swelling, and anemia may occur. Patients with lumbar spinal stenosis should carefully observe symptom progression and make decisions about continuing use. Safety during pregnancy has not been established, so pregnant women should not use this drug; uterine contraction effects have been reported in animal tests. Safety for children has not been confirmed, and there is no usage experience. Elderly patients should take caution as bodily functions may decline, and dosage adjustments may be necessary. Administering a large amount to healthy adults may temporarily lower blood pressure, so caution is also needed.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to protect it from air and moisture. It is safe to store at room temperature, i.e., between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
