(Hypertension, heart failure) improvement and (hypercholesterolemia, cardiovascular disease risk) suppression effect
This medication is used for patients who need to take Candesartan Cilexetil and Rosuvastatin together. Candesartan Cilexetil is used for the treatment of essential hypertension and in cases where patients with heart failure have a decrease in left ventricular function need additional treatment to ACE inhibitors or cannot tolerate them. Rosuvastatin is used mainly as an adjunct when dietary therapy is ineffective in patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia. Furthermore, it helps lower blood cholesterol to delay the progression of atherosclerosis, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, and especially reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and grafting risk in high-risk groups with elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels. This medication is used to improve both hypertension and cardiovascular disease risk factors simultaneously.
For the treatment of essential hypertension with Candesartan Cilexetil, an initial and maintenance dosage of 8 to 16 mg orally once daily is recommended. If blood pressure is not controlled after 4 weeks of treatment at 16 mg once daily, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 32 mg once daily. For heart failure treatment, the initial dose is 4 mg once daily, and the dose may be doubled at intervals of at least 2 weeks, up to a maximum of 32 mg once daily.
