Adult administration

As extract of placenta, administer 2 mL subcutaneously once, three times a week for two weeks (total of 6 times).

Precautions

This medication is an ampoule injection, and great care should be taken when cutting the glass container to avoid glass fragments mixing in. Particularly, extra caution is needed when used by children or the elderly. This medication contains components extracted from human placenta, and while thorough infection testing is done when collecting the placenta, the risk of infection cannot be completely eliminated. Thus, this medication should only be used minimally when necessary. Moreover, this medication contains benzyl alcohol, which can cause serious respiratory issues in premature infants, so it should not be used in newborns or premature infants. Those with allergies to this medication or other drugs, or those with severe complications related to their heart, liver, or kidneys, or those with psychogenic disorders should not receive this medication. Individuals with allergic constitutions should be especially cautious when using this medication. If symptoms of shock, chills, nausea, fever, or skin rash appear during use, discontinue administration immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Pain or redness may occur at the injection site, and rarely gynecomastia or breast pain may develop, so usage should be stopped if these symptoms occur. It is important to adequately explain the risk of infection to the patient and obtain their understanding when using this medication. When injecting subcutaneously, the injection site should be carefully chosen to avoid nerve or tissue damage, and it's best to alternate injection sites during repeated doses. If severe pain or blood reflux occurs when the needle is inserted, the needle should be immediately withdrawn, and another area should be injected. This medication should only be administered as a subcutaneous injection.
