Improvement in blood pressure control of essential hypertension through the combination of amlodipine or telmisartan
Essential hypertension is a condition where high blood pressure puts strain on blood vessels and the heart. This medication helps to lower blood pressure more effectively, preserving vascular health when blood pressure control is insufficient with amlodipine or telmisartan monotherapy. Well-controlled blood pressure can reduce the risk of complications such as heart disease or stroke. Therefore, this medication is used to improve health in the treatment of essential hypertension.
The recommended dose for adults is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). For patients with renal impairment: No dose adjustment is necessary in mild and moderate renal impairment; however, for severe renal impairment, treatment should be initiated at a lower dose and gradually increased. For patients with liver impairment: The daily dose of this medication for patients with mild to moderate liver impairment should not exceed 40mg.
