How to take

Adult dose

It is recommended to administer 1 tablet as the initial dose, thereafter ensuring a minimum of 12 hours between doses. Do not exceed 4 tablets a day. Do not use this medication for longer than necessary, and if long-term use is required, conduct regular monitoring. Elderly patients should be given the usual adult dose, but for those over 75 years old, ensure a minimum of 12 hours between doses.

Precautions

This medication may put a strain on the liver, so people who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages a day must consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. One of the ingredients in this medication, acetaminophen, can rarely cause serious skin reactions, so if a rash or allergic reaction occurs, stop taking it immediately. The tramadol component in this medication may pose a risk of seizures, so patients with a history of seizures or at high risk should use it with caution. Tramadol can rarely cause life-threatening allergic reactions, so if allergy symptoms occur, inform healthcare professionals immediately. Patients with acute bronchial asthma can experience severe respiratory suppression when taking this medication, so it must be administered in an environment where medical supervision is possible. Taking this medication with alcohol or central nervous system depressants can lead to severe drowsiness, respiratory suppression, and coma, so extreme caution is necessary. Patients with head injuries or elevated intracranial pressure may experience worsening symptoms due to respiratory suppression when taking this medication, so caution is advised. This medication may cause psychological and physical dependence, so it should be closely monitored for dependency if taken for a prolonged period. Patients with impaired liver function may experience worsened liver damage due to the acetaminophen component, so they must consult a doctor before use. Patients with specific genetic profiles may metabolize this medication more quickly in their bodies, increasing the risk of respiratory suppression; such patients may require dose adjustments or alternative medications. This medication should not be given to children under the age of 12 or adolescents under the age of 18 following certain surgeries, and it is advisable to avoid use in adolescents with risk factors. This medication may cause hyponatremia, so particularly elderly patients or those with risk factors should regularly check their blood sodium levels. This medication should not be administered to individuals with hypersensitivity to its components, those with central nervous system drug dependence, severe respiratory suppression, head injury, those taking MAO inhibitors, patients with severe liver, kidney, or heart function impairment, nursing mothers, and children below certain ages. The risk of side effects increases when this medication is taken with other central nervous system depressants, so dosage adjustments and close patient monitoring are necessary. While taking this medication, caution is required while driving or operating machines as drowsiness or dizziness may occur. In the case of overdose, there is a risk of severe respiratory suppression, liver damage, and coma, requiring immediate emergency treatment and the potential administration of an antidote. The safety of this medication during pregnancy has not been established, so it should be taken with caution, and during breastfeeding, it may transfer into breast milk, affecting the baby, so its use should be avoided. Elderly patients may be at increased risk of side effects when taking this medication due to concomitant diseases and impaired liver, kidney, and heart function, so caution is needed.
