How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is 1 tablet once a day, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time each day (e.g., morning). It is administered in 5/80 mg, 5/160 mg, and 10/160 mg doses depending on blood pressure control status. For patients with mild to moderate renal impairment, no dosage adjustment is necessary; however, patients with severe renal impairment or those on dialysis should not be given this medication.

Precautions

This drug may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. If symptoms of angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, etc.) occur while taking this drug, it should be discontinued immediately and medical attention sought. Patients with heart failure or post-myocardial infarction should closely monitor their kidney function and blood pressure while taking this drug, as pulmonary edema may occur in some cases, requiring caution. This drug may interact with other antihypertensive or specific medications, so if other medications are being taken, it is essential to inform a doctor or pharmacist. Caution is needed as dizziness or fatigue may occur while driving or operating machinery. In the case of overdose, severe hypotension or cardiac arrhythmias may occur, and immediate medical attention should be sought if symptoms arise. This drug is not recommended for children under the age of 18, as its safety and effectiveness have not been sufficiently established.
