Precautions

This medication may cause serious adverse effects on the fetus and newborn if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters. Women with childbearing potential should not take this medicine, and should discontinue use immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. This medication should not be administered to patients with hypersensitivity to certain components, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and those with severe liver impairment or obstructive biliary disease. It is also contraindicated in patients with severely impaired heart function or unstable heart failure following acute myocardial infarction. Special caution is required for patients with primary aldosteronism, heart valve disease, or hepatic impairment. Patients with gastrointestinal disorders should be treated cautiously due to the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Patients with renal vascular issues should be monitored closely due to the risk of renal failure. Dosage should be adjusted carefully for elderly patients. This medication commonly causes side effects such as dizziness and peripheral edema, and severe cardiovascular adverse reactions have been reported rarely. Symptoms of hypotension can occur, so if these symptoms arise, the patient should be laid down immediately and receive necessary treatment. Regular blood tests are needed due to the risk of increased potassium levels while taking this medication. There may be drug interactions when taken with other medications, so consultation with a physician or pharmacist is advised. Notably, taking it with grapefruit juice may increase its potency, so it is best to avoid this combination. Nursing mothers should not take this medicine, and it is not recommended for children as safety has not been established. In case of overdose, severe hypotension or heart-related issues may occur, necessitating immediate emergency treatment. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and should be taken immediately after opening.
