Adult dose

Take 100µg (2mL) of selenium per day, and may increase up to 200µg (4mL) of selenium per day. The oral liquid should be held in the mouth for about 30 seconds to 1 minute and swallowed slowly.

This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to specific ingredients. Infants under 12 months or patients with selenium toxicity should not use this medication. Taking this medication with reducing agents like vitamin C may cause the drug to precipitate, resulting in reduced efficacy, so if vitamin C needs to be taken, it should be administered at least 4 hours apart. Individuals with heart or circulatory diseases, renal function issues, patients with low protein levels, or pregnant or breastfeeding women must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. For pregnant women, caution is advised due to reports of high doses of selenium causing fetal abnormalities in animal studies. If symptoms do not improve within a month or if side effects such as dermatitis, odor abnormalities, hair loss, or vomiting occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. In cases of overdose, symptoms may include garlic-smell breath, fatigue, nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Chronic overdose can impact nail and hair growth and lead to neurological disorders. In case of overdose, gastric lavage or urine discharge may be induced, and high-dose vitamin C may be administered; in very severe cases, dialysis may be required. This medication must be taken strictly according to the prescribed dosage and administration; it should only be taken orally and should not be used as an injection. Keep out of reach of children, store in a tightly sealed container away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry place. Moreover, transferring the medication from its original container to another storage container may pose risks of misuse or quality deterioration, so it must be kept in its original container.
