This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia (too much calcium in the blood), patients with sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), or patients with kidney disease. Additionally, those allergic to any of the ingredients and children under 12 months old, as well as patients with kidney stones, should avoid it. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with genetic disorders related to lactose intolerance should not take it. It is also advisable to avoid taking this medication with phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline preparations, antacids, and medications like levodopa. Patients under treatment, children getting much sun exposure, patients with oxaluria, pregnant or lactating women, and premature or infant patients should consult a healthcare professional. As vitamin D can pass into breast milk and cause excess calcium in newborns, caution is necessary. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers, chronic colitis, heart and circulatory disorders, kidney problems, hypoproteinemia, gout, or kidney stones should consult a professional before taking this medication. The medication contains the dye Yellow No. 5; individuals allergic to this substance should take it cautiously. Anyone experiencing side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, skin rash, low blood pressure, hair loss, gastrointestinal discomfort, digestive issues, upper abdominal pain, changes in menstruation, bleeding, sensory neuropathy or neurological symptoms, hematological adverse reactions, glucose intolerance, hyperuricemia, liver damage, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, swelling, and gastrointestinal symptoms should stop taking the medication immediately and consult a professional. Especially if menstruation becomes abnormally early or heavy, a doctor's consultation is imperative. Those taking oral contraceptives or at risk of thrombosis should be cautious due to the increased risk of thrombosis from the vitamin E component. Long-term high-dose use can lead to tolerance, and excessive intake of certain vitamins can cause nerve damage or blood abnormalities. Furthermore, high-dose administration can exacerbate peptic ulcers, disrupt blood sugar control, or cause liver damage, so it should be approached with care. Overdose may result in symptoms such as vomiting, edema, and signs of heart failure, necessitating caution. If symptoms do not improve after 1 month of taking the medication, one should consult a professional. Adherence to the prescribed dosage and usage is crucial, and children should take it under the supervision of a guardian. This medication may affect urinalysis results and can change the urine color to yellow, so this should be considered during testing. It is advisable to avoid consuming tannin-containing teas such as green tea or black tea before or after taking it. During storage, keep this medication in an airtight container away from children, avoiding direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place.
