This medication alleviates fever and pain caused by colds, and is also effective for back pain and menstrual pain. Additionally, it is used to improve symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, osteoarthritis, and pain after surgery. Furthermore, it is effective for headaches, migraines, toothaches, as well as muscle pain and neuralgia. It aids in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout, and psoriatic arthritis. This medication is also used to treat various inflammatory conditions such as soft tissue injuries and non-articular rheumatic diseases like tendinitis, tenosynovitis, and bursitis. Thus, it is used effectively to treat various types of pain and inflammatory diseases.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue injuries, non-articular rheumatic diseases, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis: take 200-600 mg orally 3-4 times a day. Mild to moderate pain, colds: take 200-400 mg orally 3-4 times a day. Migraine: take 200-400 mg orally, not to exceed 2 capsules per day.

Children's dosage

Precautions

People who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Drinking alcohol frequently while taking this medication may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication can affect the cardiovascular system, so people at risk for heart disease or stroke need to be cautious. Especially, patients with hypertension, heart failure, ischemic heart disease, etc., should use this medication carefully and avoid high doses. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal problems such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations, so the elderly or long-term users should be more cautious. It is safer not to take this medication if there is a history of gastrointestinal diseases or severe blood, liver, kidney, or heart diseases. Those allergic to any component of this medication or with a history of asthma should also avoid taking it. Pregnant women in the late stage of pregnancy should not use this medication as it may pose a risk to the fetus. During treatment, do not exceed the recommended dose and do not take it concurrently with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Breastfeeding women should consider stopping breastfeeding or the medication because this drug can be transmitted to breast milk and affect the baby. Interactions

Drug interactions

This medication should not be taken by patients receiving high-dose methotrexate for chemotherapy. Also, do not take it concurrently with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Patients taking low-dose aspirin, ACE inhibitors, lithium, furosemide and thiazide diuretics, low-dose methotrexate, anticoagulants (such as warfarin), and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors should consult a doctor or pharmacist.
