Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients who have had hypersensitivity reactions to its ingredients. There is a rare possibility of serious allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis occurring when using this medication; therefore, if symptoms arise, administration should be immediately discontinued and appropriate treatment sought. Blood counts should be monitored, as leukocyte or platelet counts may decrease, and liver function abnormalities may occur, necessitating tests for liver function. Hypersensitivity reactions such as hives, rash, and itching may occur; if these symptoms arise, it is advisable to stop taking the medication. Neurological symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, and paralysis may also be experienced, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. Digestive symptoms may include dry mouth, constipation, abdominal bloating, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, abdominal pain, belching, and taste abnormalities. If liver enzyme levels suddenly increase or if fever and rash occur, administration should be stopped immediately, and a consultation with a physician is required. Leukopenia or thrombocytopenia may be found in blood tests, so regular checks are necessary. Other reactions may include breast pain, gynecomastia, galactorrhea, palpitations, fever, facial flushing, tongue paralysis, cough, shortness of breath, hair loss, menstrual irregularities, and edema. Pregnant or potentially pregnant women should only use this medication when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established. Lactating women should avoid breastfeeding, as this medication may be transmitted through breast milk. The safety of this medication in children, especially low birth weight infants, neonates, and infants, has not been sufficiently confirmed; therefore, it should be used with caution. Elderly patients may have reduced physical functions, so they should be particularly cautious regarding unusual reactions, such as digestive symptoms. This medication should be stored in a secure place out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container should be avoided, as it may cause accidents or compromise quality.
