This medication is used for patients who require combined treatment with the two drugs, pimasartan and rosuvastatin. Pimasartan is primarily used for the treatment of essential hypertension. Rosuvastatin is primarily used to help improve hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, a condition characterized by abnormally high levels of cholesterol and lipids in the blood. Additionally, it helps slow the progression of atherosclerosis and is used as an adjunct treatment for specific familial hypercholesterolemia patients. It also aids in reducing the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization in adult patients with elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels and additional cardiovascular disease risk factors. This medication is used to improve cardiovascular health by managing both hypertension and hyperlipidemia simultaneously.
