How it is given

Adult administration

For adults, administer 1 syringe into the knee joint or shoulder joint once a week for 3 consecutive weeks. Adjust the number of doses according to symptoms.

Precautions

This medication is made from sodium hyaluronate and is injected into the joint. Individuals who have experienced allergic reactions to this medication's ingredient should not use it. Caution is required for those with allergies to other medications, liver function issues, or skin conditions or infections at the injection site. Rarely, allergy symptoms such as swelling of the face or around the eyes, rashes, or itching may occur; should these symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. Temporary pain, swelling, redness, warmth, and severe pressure sensation may occur at the injection site, and symptoms like nausea, vomiting, or fever may also arise. This medication may exacerbate inflammation if the joints are severely inflamed, so it is advisable to administer it after inflammation has subsided. After the injection, it is necessary to stabilize the injection site and avoid overexertion. This medication must be injected accurately into the joint cavity; leakage outside the joint can cause pain. Maintain a sterile environment during injection and stop administration if symptoms do not improve after three doses. If joint fluid is excessive, it is recommended to drain it before injecting. This medication is not suitable for intravenous injection or ocular use. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should use this medication cautiously, only when the benefits outweigh the risks, and nursing mothers should avoid its administration. Safety for children has not been established, so it should only be used with caution when absolutely necessary. Elderly patients may have reduced physical function, so greater caution is advised during use.
