Prevention of cisplatin-induced neuropathy
This medicine is used to prevent neuropathic disorders that may occur in patients undergoing treatment with cisplatin or similar chemotherapy. This preventive measure helps to reduce nerve damage and minimize discomfort experienced during treatment, thus being beneficial for improving the quality of life of patients.
In severe cases, administer 600-1200mg via intramuscular injection or intravenous drip daily. For treatments lasting several days or in mild cases, administer 300-600mg via intramuscular injection or intravenous drip daily.
This medication may rarely cause a serious allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis, so the patient's condition must be carefully monitored during administration. If symptoms such as facial pallor, decreased blood pressure, or irregular pulse appear, administration should be stopped immediately. Additionally, hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes may occur, so it is safe to discontinue the drug if such symptoms are observed. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain may occur, so these symptoms should also be monitored closely. When preparing the medication, the vial contents should be used immediately after dissolving, as the efficacy may decrease over time; therefore, immediate administration is crucial. When administering an intramuscular injection, care must be taken to avoid nerves or blood vessels in selecting the injection site, and if multiple injections are required, the site should be alternated instead of repeating the same area. Special care must be taken when managing the injection site in children. The medication should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container from its original one may lead to misuse or degradation of quality, so it must be kept in its original container with the lid tightly closed.
Facial pallor, decreased blood pressure, irregular pulse → Symptoms of anaphylaxis
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should be stored in a sealed container to prevent contact with air, ideally at room temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees. This helps to maintain the drug's effectiveness.
