Efficacy & effects

Improvement in blood pressure control for essential hypertension

  • Essential hypertension
View approved original text

This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty controlling their blood pressure. Amlodipine or telmisartan monotherapy is used to help adequately lower and control blood pressure. These medications improve hypertension by expanding blood vessels or through mechanisms that regulate blood pressure. Proper blood pressure management plays a crucial role in reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases and maintaining health. This medication is effective for controlling patients' blood pressure and is used to stabilize health status with regular use.

This medication should not be administered to patients with hypersensitivity, nursing mothers, patients with severe liver dysfunction, patients with severe cardiac disease, and patients with severe hypotension. Caution is advised for patients with decreased liver function, gastrointestinal diseases, renal dysfunction, and elderly patients when using this medication. During pregnancy, the use of this medication can pose risks of decreased kidney function in the fetus, skull formation disorders, and hypotension in newborns, so it should be discontinued as quickly as possible. This medication may interact with other drugs, so caution is necessary, especially when co-administered with lithium, digoxin, warfarin, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
