This medication is used to improve blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of Amlodipine or Telmisartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). For patients with renal impairment, treatment should be initiated at a lower dose in severe cases, and for patients with hepatic impairment, the daily dose of Telmisartan should not exceed 40 mg. For elderly patients (75 years and older), treatment should start at a lower dose and be gradually increased.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy of this medication in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established, so its use is not recommended.

Precautions

This drug can pose a serious risk to the fetus, especially during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, therefore, it should not be taken by pregnant women or women who may become pregnant. This medicine should not be administered to patients with certain medical conditions such as liver impairment, heart valve disease, severe hypotension, or unstable heart failure following acute myocardial infarction. Patients with primary aldosteronism, compromised liver function, gastrointestinal disorders, or renovascular hypertension should be monitored closely when using this medication. When administering to the elderly, careful dosage adjustments are required, and it is particularly advised to start at a lower dose for those over 75 years of age. In cases of overdose, symptoms may include low blood pressure, arrhythmia, dizziness, etc., so immediate emergency treatment should be sought. This medication can interact with other drugs, so if you are taking other medications, you must inform your doctor or pharmacist and use it with caution. When storing this medication, keep it out of the reach of children, and after opening, maintain it sealed to avoid moisture exposure.

Hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain of oral/ocular mucosa, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory distress accompanied by cough and fever, jaundice, systemic lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion of consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, significantly reduced urine output.
