This medication is used to improve fever and pain caused by colds, lower back pain, menstrual pain, rheumatoid arthritis and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and postoperative pain. It is also effective for relieving various types of pain including headache, migraine, toothache, muscle pain, and neuralgia. It helps with ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout, and psoriatic arthritis, and is used for soft tissue injuries such as sprains and contusions, as well as non-joint rheumatic diseases such as tendinitis, tenosynovitis, and bursitis. In summary, this medication effectively alleviates acute and chronic inflammation and pain, being beneficial for various joint and musculoskeletal disorders.

How to take

Adult dose

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue injuries, non-joint rheumatic diseases, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis: Administer 200-600mg of ibuprofen per dose 3-4 times daily. A maximum of 3200mg per day is permitted. Mild to moderate pain, colds: Administer 200-400mg per dose 3-4 times daily. Migraine: Administer 200-400mg per dose.

Precautions

This medication can cause gastrointestinal bleeding if taken by individuals who consume large amounts of alcohol daily; therefore, consultation with a physician or pharmacist is necessary. While taking this medication, cardiovascular symptoms should be monitored closely, and preparations should be made to take immediate action if issues arise. Individuals with a history of ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding or severe liver, kidney, or heart diseases should not take this medication. The recommended dosage should not be exceeded, and concurrent use with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should be avoided. If breastfeeding, this medication may be transmitted through breast milk, potentially causing adverse reactions in the infant, hence either breastfeeding should be stopped or the medication should be discontinued. Individuals with a history of blood diseases, liver or kidney diseases, heart disease, hypertension, hypersensitivity, etc., should consult with a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. Taking this medication with aspirin may reduce aspirin's cardioprotective effects and increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, so caution is necessary. If severe allergic reactions, breathing difficulties, skin rashes, bleeding, liver dysfunction, or kidney dysfunction occur while taking this medication, it should be stopped immediately and medical advice sought. This medication should be used for the minimum necessary dose and shortest duration possible, and regular blood tests and liver function tests should be conducted during long-term use. Use during pregnancy, especially in the later stages, should be avoided as it may harm the fetus, while it should be used cautiously during the second trimester under medical guidance. Keep this medication out of the reach of children and store it in its original packaging.

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash accompanied by high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory abnormalities with cough + fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, urine.

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with high doses of methotrexate. Do not take with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. If taking low-dose aspirin, ACE inhibitors, lithium, furosemide, thiazide diuretics, low-dose methotrexate, coumarin anticoagulants, or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, consult with a physician or pharmacist.
