Iron deficiency anemia is a condition in which sufficient red blood cells are not produced due to a lack of iron in the body. This medication supplements iron to alleviate anemia symptoms and improve the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood. It is used for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults aged 8 years and older should take 1 tablet once a day.

Child dose

Children aged 8 years and older should take 1 tablet once a day.

Precautions

This medication contains iron so if a child under 6 years old accidentally consumes it in large quantities, it can cause severe poisoning and even death; therefore, it should be kept in a safe place out of the reach of children. Individuals allergic to any of the components in this medication, infants under 12 months old, and those with specific iron metabolism disorders should not take this medication. During the use of this medication, it should not be taken together with phosphates, calcium salts, certain classes of antibiotics, or antacids. Infants under 1 year old, patients currently undergoing treatment, and patients with gastrointestinal diseases or problems with heart and kidney function, as well as individuals with protein deficiency, must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as hives, itching, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, or decreased consciousness occur while taking this medication, discontinue it immediately and consult a professional. Moreover, overdose may lead to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and edema, and concurrent use with certain diuretics may dangerously elevate potassium levels in the blood, so caution is advised. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and frequency, and caregivers must supervise when administering it to children. It is advisable to avoid beverages with tannins, such as green tea or black tea, while taking this medication. Store this medication out of the reach of children, keep it in a tightly sealed container, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
