This medicine is used for patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty controlling blood pressure with Amlodipine or Telmisartan monotherapy.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage of this drug is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). For patients with renal impairment: There is no need for dose adjustment in mild and moderate renal impairment; however, for severe renal impairment, treatment should be started at a lower dose, gradually increasing the dose. For patients with liver impairment: In cases of mild or moderate liver impairment, the daily dosage should not exceed 40mg.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy have not been established in pediatric patients under 18 years of age, so its use is not recommended.

Precautions

This drug should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can cause serious harm to the fetus. It should not be administered to individuals with allergies to the active ingredient or components, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, nursing individuals, those with severely impaired liver function, or those with severe cardiac issues. Patients with mild liver function impairment, gastrointestinal diseases, decreased kidney function, elderly individuals, or those with specific heart valve diseases need to use this drug with special caution. Side effects like dizziness or swelling of the hands and feet can commonly occur, and severe side effects may occur rarely, so if any abnormal symptoms arise, immediate medical attention should be sought. Pregnant women should not take this drug, and if pregnancy is confirmed, they should stop taking it immediately and switch to alternative treatments. This drug lowers blood pressure and can cause hypotension; in this case, the patient should be laid down and receive appropriate measures such as fluid replacement if necessary. There is a risk of elevated potassium levels in the blood, so patients with kidney disease or heart failure should have regular blood tests to monitor potassium levels. Interactions may occur if taken with other medications, so all medications being taken should be disclosed to healthcare providers. This drug has not been adequately proven to be safe and effective for children, so its use is not recommended. Elderly patients may respond more sensitively to this drug, so care should be taken during administration, and dose adjustments should be made gradually. In case of overdose, severe hypotension, dizziness, acute renal failure, etc., may occur, so immediate medical attention should be sought.
