This medication is used for the treatment of skin infections caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton species (e.g., T. rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, T. verrucosum, T. violaceum), Microsporum canis, and Epidermophyton floccosum. It is especially suitable for adolescents and adults over the age of 15 with tinea pedis (athlete's foot). This medication helps effectively improve the infected skin area and alleviate symptoms. Continuous use contributes to maintaining healthy skin condition.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

This medication is applied only once. Before application, clean the affected area and dry it completely, then apply a sufficient amount to thoroughly moisten the affected area and its surroundings. Even if there are no lesions on the other foot, apply it to both feet. Apply a thin layer between the toes and to the entire sole of the foot, approximately 1.5 cm above the sole, and allow it to dry for 1-2 minutes.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. First, individuals who are hypersensitive to the ingredients of this medication or to terbinafine or have had such experiences in the past should not use this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should also avoid using this medication. The safety and effectiveness of this medication have not been sufficiently confirmed for children under 15 years old and infants. When using this medication, unusual symptoms such as hives, redness, itching, irritation, skin peeling, stinging pain, or burning sensations may occur. If such symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a medical professional. If excessive irritation is felt during use or if symptoms worsen, stop using the medication and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Do not use occlusive dressings or wrapping methods without a doctor's instructions. If this medication is ineffective, tests should be done to check for fungal infections, and alternative treatments should be applied. The alcohol component in this medication may irritate the skin or mucous membranes, so caution is needed, especially when used on young children or mucous membrane areas. Although intact skin absorbs less of the medication with minimal systemic effects, caution should be taken when using on injured or extensive areas, particularly in infants, as systemic effects may occur. The safety of this medication for pregnant women has not been fully established, so it should only be used when the benefits outweigh the risks. Also, this medication may be excreted in breast milk, so nursing mothers should discontinue breastfeeding while using this medication. This medication contains an ingredient called propylene glycol, which should be used cautiously in patients who are allergic or sensitive to this component. If this medication is accidentally ingested, immediate measures such as gastric lavage should be taken. This medication is only for topical application to the skin and should be kept away from the eyes. If it gets into the eyes, it should be flushed thoroughly with plenty of water. Do not apply it to nails, the scalp, around the mouth, or vaginal areas, and use cautiously on skin that is cracked or sore as irritation may occur. Lastly, this medication should be stored out of the reach of children, and the storage temperature should be between 15 degrees and 30 degrees Celsius.
