This medication is used to more effectively lower blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension who are not adequately controlled with either amlodipine or telmisartan monotherapy.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is advisable to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). Patients with renal impairment: dose adjustment is not required for mild to moderate renal impairment; however, in cases of severe renal impairment, treatment should start with a lower dose and then be gradually increased. Patients with liver impairment: for mild to moderate liver impairment.

Child dose

The safety and effectiveness of this medication in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established; therefore, its use is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it may cause serious harm to the fetus. If pregnancy is confirmed, this medication should be discontinued as soon as possible. This medication should not be administered to patients with certain conditions, such as liver impairment, obstructive biliary disease, severe hypotension, or heart-related disorders. Additionally, it should not be taken by women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Caution is also required when administering this medication to patients with renal dysfunction or diabetes, as the risk of side effects may increase when used with certain medications. Symptoms such as dizziness or swelling may commonly occur during use, and if such symptoms arise, a consultation with a doctor is recommended. This medication works to lower blood pressure, which may cause hypotension, necessitating dosage adjustments if needed. Furthermore, while taking this medication, caution is needed when driving or operating hazardous machinery. In the event of an overdose, severe hypotension or cardiac issues may occur, necessitating immediate hospital care. This medication is not recommended for children, as its safety and efficacy in this population have not been sufficiently established. Store this medication out of reach of children and ensure it is kept dry.
