Relief of skin inflammation and itching due to eczema, dermatitis, etc.
This medication is used to relieve skin inflammation and itching from conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, prickly heat, allergic reactions like insect bites, and hives.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area several times a day.
This medicine should not be used if there are skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals, as it may worsen the symptoms. People who have had allergic reactions to this medicine or its components should avoid use. Patients with a perforated eardrum or severe eczema of the external ear should be cautious as healing may be delayed and the risk of infection may increase with use. It should not be applied to areas with burns or ulcers as it may interfere with skin regeneration. Patients with dermatitis around the mouth, common acne, or rosacea should also avoid this medication. Children under 30 months should not use it. During the use of this medication, it should not be applied to eczema or wound areas with accompanying skin infections or on sensitive skin, and if there is a skin infection, proper antibacterial or antifungal treatment should be considered first before use. The topical corticosteroid included in this medication may cause side effects such as adrenal suppression, Cushing's syndrome, and elevated blood sugar levels if absorbed systemically, so if extensive or occlusive dressings are used, checking cortisol levels may be necessary to monitor for side effects. If side effects are confirmed, measures such as discontinuing the medication, adjusting the dosage, or changing medications may be required. Those with a history of allergies or who have moist and macerated skin, and those currently under treatment or who are children, pregnant women, nursing mothers, or the elderly should consult a professional before use. Special attention is needed for children as side effects such as growth retardation may occur with corticosteroid use. Pregnant and nursing mothers should avoid extensive or long-term use as safety has not been established, and the elderly should be observed carefully as adverse reactions may occur more easily. If abnormal symptoms such as skin infection, irritation, rash, itching, or skin dryness appear during use, it should be discontinued immediately and a professional consulted. Long-term use may lead to side effects such as skin atrophy, telangiectasia, acne, and pigmentary changes, so gradually reducing the dose while replacing with other medications is necessary. Caution is advised when using around the eyes due to the risk of increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma, and cataracts, and if the medication gets into the eyes, wash immediately with clean water and seek ophthalmologic care if symptoms are severe. If symptoms do not improve, do not use for more than 5 to 6 days and consult a doctor or pharmacist, and the prescribed method and dosage must always be followed. This medication is for external use only and must not be ingested or inhaled. Before use, shake the medication well and thoroughly wash hands to ensure that no medication comes into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. When using the occlusive dressing method, it must be done under the supervision of a doctor, and cleanliness must be maintained. Diapers also have a similar occlusive effect, so caution is advised. It is advisable not to use it on areas that have been treated for purposes other than treatment after makeup or shaving. When storing, keep it out of the reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry place. Keep it in its original container with the lid tightly closed and do not keep it near fire. Do not use expired products, and be cautious as the medication may deteriorate if it comes into contact with plastic or furniture. It may cause discoloration if used on dyed hair, so caution is needed.
