This medicine is used for patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty controlling blood pressure with either amlodipine or telmisartan alone. It helps effectively lower blood pressure, allowing for stable management of blood pressure and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, this medication is used for blood pressure control in essential hypertension.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose for this medication is one tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). Patients with renal impairment do not need dose adjustments for mild to moderate kidney dysfunction, but patients with severe kidney impairment should start treatment with a lower dose and gradually increase it. In patients with liver impairment, the daily dose of telmisartan should not exceed 40 mg.

Precautions

This medication can pose serious risks to the fetus, particularly during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, and should not be taken by pregnant women or women who may become pregnant.
