  • Essential hypertension
View approved original text

Amlodipine and telmisartan are both medications that lower blood pressure. They may be taken together to effectively manage blood pressure when either drug alone is insufficient for adequate control. This combination therapy is applicable for patients with essential hypertension, which is a chronic condition of high blood pressure occurring without a specific cause. This drug combination helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and maintain stable blood pressure. Therefore, it is used for the treatment of essential hypertension.
