This medication helps to lower elevated total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, apo B protein, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia while increasing HDL cholesterol levels. This treatment is conducted along with appropriate dietary measures and is used when non-pharmacological measures are not sufficient. It may also be applied to patients at high risk of atherosclerotic vascular disease due to hypercholesterolemia. It is important to identify and treat other secondary causes of dyslipidemia before administering this medication. During treatment, total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglyceride levels should be periodically monitored and managed. This medication is used to improve cardiovascular health and effectively treat dyslipidemia.
