This medication is used to prevent and treat pantothenic acid deficiency. It also helps provide pantothenic acid in cases where the required amount increases or is insufficiently ingested through diet, such as in wasting diseases, hyperthyroidism, and among pregnant or breastfeeding women. Additionally, it helps prevent and treat side effects that may occur from the use of streptomycin and kanamycin, and aids in conditions such as contact dermatitis, acute chronic eczema, and post-surgical bowel paralysis. Therefore, this medication is effectively used in various conditions related to pantothenic acid deficiency or metabolic disorders.

How it is given

Adult administration

As D-Panthenol, administer 20 to 100 mg for each injection 1 to 2 times a day via intramuscular or intravenous injection. For post-surgical bowel paralysis, administer 50 to 500 mg once a day, 1 to 3 times, and may be increased up to 6 times as needed. Adjust dose appropriately according to age and symptoms. Precautions
