Elcarnine Tablet (L-Carnitine)

Adult dose

Adults: Administer 2∼3 g of L-carnitine orally daily in 2∼3 divided doses. Adjust the dose as appropriate according to age and symptoms.

This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to it. Temporary nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and changes in body odor may occur during treatment. Additionally, skin rashes or hives and facial swelling have been reported. Patients with poor kidney function may experience muscle weakness, so caution is advised. The safety of this medication in pregnant women has not been sufficiently established, so it should only be used when the benefits outweigh the risks. It is not precisely known how much of this medication passes into breast milk, but since many drugs are excreted in breast milk, careful use is required.

This medication must be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. It is best to maintain a storage temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius.
